About The Role
The Biomedical Services Product & Process Management Teams are seeking a Financial Analyst to provide analytical insight that drives strategic and operational decision‑making. In this role, you will build financial models, evaluate business scenarios, and assess the financial impact of key initiatives. While your primary focus will be Product and Process Management, you may also support other functions across Biomedical Services. You’ll collaborate closely with analysts, cross‑functional partners, and Finance leadership to deliver clear, actionable insights. This position reports to a Finance Manager and requires adherence to all applicable SOPs and Federal, State, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop analytical and financial models to evaluate business scenarios and support strategic decisions
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define project scope, data needs, and analytical requirements
- Create well‑structured, compelling presentations that communicate insights to leadership
- Conduct cost/benefit analyses, scenario modeling, product and market profitability assessments, capacity planning, and budgeting/forecasting
- Deliver monthly revenue and expense analyses, variance explanations, and performance reports
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable major in math-based sciences
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with databases or data mining tools (e.g., SQL, RedShift, Webi) preferred
- Familiarity with Power BI, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, or similar tools is a plus
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts clearly
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently
- Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable navigating change
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge
- Advanced Excel skills (advanced functions/formulas, pivot tables, cleaning and transforming large data sets, combining data sources, automating workflows, Power Query, Power Pivot)
- Power BI experience (reporting, dashboard development, data analysis)
- Ability to think logically through processes, communicate insights effectively and audit outputs for accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment
- Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined.
PAY INFORMATION:
The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.
