Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams. As a Financial Analyst – Level 5 (Staff) located in Redondo Beach, CA (potentially fully remote), you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position works a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities
- Perform economic research and studies on rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analyzing profit and loss statements and income statements.
- Prepare reports of findings and recommendations for management.
- Develop, maintain, and establish operational specifications for financial information systems, considering information flow, volume, and document format for data processing equipment.
- Provide analysis on business development and monitor business performance by unit or division.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of professional experience or
- Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience or
- PhD with 8 years of professional experience.
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- No clearance required to start.
- Financial or accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or Defense industry experience.
- Department of Defense (DoD) experience.
- Experience working with SAP, Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, or Oracle Primavera.
Soft Skills
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills.
Benefits & Compensation
- Primary level salary range: $133,000 – $219,500 (subject to factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions).
- Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives (for VP/Director levels).
