Position

Financial Analyst – Investor Relations (part of Acquisitions & Finance group)
Reports to the Director of Finance & Investor Relations in Chicago and supports Golub’s acquisitions and development investment activities for the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with senior management to organize, build and maintain detailed and insightful data analytics across Golub & Company’s portfolio and businesses, grabbing data from a variety of software systems and reports to create regular process and uniformity.
  • Maintains internal reporting to track portfolio leverage/risk, investment performance, and operational performance.
  • Collaborates internally and with third‑party software providers to implement a process that supports portfolio reporting and investor relations efforts.
  • Creates and maintains internal valuation and investment returns reforecast process.
  • Assists in the generation of quarterly investment reporting, fund reporting and regular investment memos.
  • Gathers, evaluates and maintains economic and market data.
  • Manages and maintains Golub & Company’s third‑party data subscriptions and services, tracking information and data to facilitate investment decisions.
  • Manages and maintains Golub & Company’s investor relations, capital raising and investor reporting software.
  • Supports underwriting process for potential acquisition and development investments on an ad‑hoc basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in Business, Finance or related field.
  • 2‑4 years of relevant real estate experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and firm understanding of real estate investment concepts.
  • Must have strong financial acumen and firm understanding of real estate investment concepts including IRR, joint venture waterfalls, promotes, carried interest, real estate NAV, relative valuation, DCF, NPV and cash flow models.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Argus required.
  • Working knowledge of markets in the southeast U.S. a plus with both multifamily and office underwriting experience.
