Financial Audit & Accounting Analyst

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Financial Audit & Accounting Analyst to support a company focused on delivering financial integrity, audit readiness, and mission assurance for the U.S. Air Force. This position is on-site at Andrews AFB, MD. This role directly supports national defense by ensuring financial transparency, accountability, and compliance for Air Force Security Assistance and FMS programs.

Responsibilities

• Supporting audit assertions, asset valuation, and account reconciliations across financial statements
• Preparing and maintaining auditor-ready documentation, including workpapers and supporting evidence
• Executing audit remediation activities and implementing sustainable accounting and business solutions
• Analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and improve accuracy and compliance
• Contributing to internal control design, testing, and audit readiness initiatives

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, audit support, or audit readiness
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and preparing defensible assertion packages
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce auditor-ready documentation and reconciliations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (or 4+ additional years of relevant experience)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, as required

Compensation

• Salary Range: $100,000-$110,000 depending on experience
