About the role

Our client are in the retail sector and seeking to restructure their finance function and migrate all of the work in-house, role will sit on the senior leadership team to drive the business forward. It is a hands on stand-alone position and will invovle conducting a full overhaul of the entire financial procedures of the business including reviewing systems and migrating to a new ERP.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of financial processes and robust financial controls.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and financial planning & analysis towards strategic plans for all entities.
  • Deliver monthly management accounts along with analysis and commentary to management team and board
  • Manage debtors and creditors, ensure tax compliance, and the preparation of financial statements and audit processes
  • Review systems and implement new system to support the business requirements

Experience/Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA,CPA,CIMA) with relevant experience in a hands on role within an SME environment
  • Proven knowledge of specific financial operations in the retail or a stock related business advantageous
  • Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office & Financial Reporting systems.
