About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret Air Force financial and feeder system data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Perform end-to-end transaction traceability (UoT analysis) across multiple systems to validate financial data integrity.
- Develop and implement data pipelines, automation workflows, and statistical models using Python and SQL.
- Leverage platforms such as Databricks and BI tools (Power BI, Qlik) to design dashboards and generate actionable insights.
- Conduct data reconciliation across disparate systems, identifying discrepancies and resolving inconsistencies.
- Apply expertise in data structures, relational databases, and system logic to support root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with financial, accounting, and audit stakeholders to support reporting, compliance, and operational objectives.
- Prepare and present clear, concise technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Respond effectively to time-sensitive, high-priority requests in a dynamic federal environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or financial systems support.
- Demonstrated experience with Air Force (DAF) financial systems and federal accounting data.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in:
- Databricks or similar modern data platforms
- Power BI, Qlik, or equivalent BI/visualization tools
- Python and SQL for data processing, automation, and analysis
- Experience with data mining, statistical analysis, and workflow automation.
- Solid understanding of:
- Relational databases and data modeling
- System integrations and data flow architecture
- Proven ability to perform data reconciliation, validation, and traceability analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Secret (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain expertise in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) / Security Cooperation processes.
- Experience with audit readiness, remediation activities, and federal compliance standards.
- Ability to produce audit-ready deliverables, including:
- Supporting documentation and evidence
- Reconciliation reports
- Internal control artifacts
