About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret Air Force financial and feeder system data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Perform end-to-end transaction traceability (UoT analysis) across multiple systems to validate financial data integrity.
  • Develop and implement data pipelines, automation workflows, and statistical models using Python and SQL.
  • Leverage platforms such as Databricks and BI tools (Power BI, Qlik) to design dashboards and generate actionable insights.
  • Conduct data reconciliation across disparate systems, identifying discrepancies and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Apply expertise in data structures, relational databases, and system logic to support root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with financial, accounting, and audit stakeholders to support reporting, compliance, and operational objectives.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Respond effectively to time-sensitive, high-priority requests in a dynamic federal environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or financial systems support.
  • Demonstrated experience with Air Force (DAF) financial systems and federal accounting data.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in:
    • Databricks or similar modern data platforms
    • Power BI, Qlik, or equivalent BI/visualization tools
    • Python and SQL for data processing, automation, and analysis
  • Experience with data mining, statistical analysis, and workflow automation.
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Relational databases and data modeling
    • System integrations and data flow architecture
  • Proven ability to perform data reconciliation, validation, and traceability analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) / Security Cooperation processes.
  • Experience with audit readiness, remediation activities, and federal compliance standards.
  • Ability to produce audit-ready deliverables, including:
    • Supporting documentation and evidence
    • Reconciliation reports
    • Internal control artifacts
