About

As a Financial Data Analyst, you will analyze, model, and forecast financial data related to cloud services and on premises data center workloads. You will combine strong financial acumen with advanced data analytics to support cost optimization, migration planning, and strategic decision making, enabling greater financial transparency and efficiency across technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret IT financial data including cloud consumption, billing, and chargeback models.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize cost trends and optimization opportunities.
• Perform variance analysis on monthly and annual technology spend to identify anomalies and savings.
• Maintain and enhance financial datasets from multiple enterprise sources to ensure accuracy.
• Document financial analysis and reporting processes to support consistency and auditability.
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and finance teams to align cost models with operations.
• Support cloud migration planning through server cost modeling and capacity forecasting.
• Contribute insights to FinOps strategies by analyzing utilization patterns and cost drivers.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI including Power Query, DAX, and data visualization best practices.
• Strong Excel skills with experience handling complex financial data models.
• Experience maintaining and manipulating datasets from heterogeneous data sources.
• High familiarity with cloud cost management tools, billing structures, and financial platforms.
• Understanding of server migration strategies and workload cost modeling.
• Ability to translate technical financial data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Compensation

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
