A high-growth financial services business is seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join its South African operation. This role is suited to a qualified finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is eager to play both a strategic and hands-on role within the finance function. The successful individual will work closely with senior leadership, contribute to business decision-making, and lead a capable finance team while continuously improving processes and controls.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the full finance function, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis
• Oversee month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage tax-related matters and coordinate external audits
• Strengthen internal controls and drive ongoing process improvements
• Provide meaningful financial insights to support strategic decision-making
• Engage with external stakeholders including funders and regulatory bodies
• Support treasury activities and funding-related initiatives
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and highlight cost optimisation opportunities
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a high-performance culture

Requirements:

• CA(SA) - Non negotiable
• Minimum of 4 years’ post-articles experience within a commercial environment
• Strong understanding of IFRS and taxation principles
• Previous exposure to financial services or lending environments is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency (ERP exposure beneficial)
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
