About the role

Job Purpose

The FP&A Analyst will support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for Sportlux’s European operations. The role contributes to financial oversight of retail, wholesale, and licensing activities across multiple markets and brand portfolios, providing insights to support decision-making, profitability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling financial plans for European entities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial models for revenue, margins, and operating expenses across retail, wholesale, and licensing channels.
  • Monitor actual performance vs. plans and support variance analysis with insights.

2. Business Performance Analysis

  • Support analysis of sales, margin, and profitability by market, channel, and brand.
  • Assist in evaluating customer, distributor, license, and product-level profitability.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to assess the financial impact of pricing, promotions, and distribution agreements

3. Management Reporting

  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries.
  • Assist in consolidating financial performance data across European markets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Contribute to commentary on financial results, highlighting key variances, risks, and opportunities.

4. General Accounting- Support

  • Provide support to the GL department in the following activities: Bank and intercompany transaction postings; E-commerce sales reconciliation; Supplier invoice booking and payment processing; Monthly and yearly accounts preparation; Year-end audit preparation; Swiss / German VAT returns; Customer payment booking and reconciliation; Customer refunds

5. Strategic Support

  • Support preparation of business cases for new brand acquisitions, licensing agreements, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Assist in scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  • Support finance business partnering activities with regional stakeholders.

6. Process & Systems Improvement

  • Contribute to improvement of FP&A processes, reporting tools, and financial models.
  • Support implementation and optimization of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems.
  • Assist in standardizing and automating reporting processes across European entities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CFA) is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of FP&A, Controlling and/or Accounting
  • Experience in Fashion, Distribution or licensing preferred
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (Excel and Power BI proficiency required).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC preferred).
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French and German is a plus.
