ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its team in Central Houston. This full-time role will support planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis across portfolio companies and the broader enterprise while contributing to ongoing improvements in tools, technology, and reporting templates.

SUMMARY

This position will be engaged as a member of the accounting, finance, and investment teams. The role will primarily assist with the planning and analysis of the firm's investments in portfolio companies. This opportunity offers the chance to further develop accounting, reporting, and planning and analysis skills while participating in the ongoing transformation of tools, technology, and templates to help the organization operate as best in class.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain financials for portfolio companies, deal teams, and the overall firm or enterprise for planning and budgeting purposes
  • Create and assist in management reporting and analysis
  • Assist in special projects and ad hoc reporting as directed by executive management
  • Create investor and analyst presentations
  • Communicate with portfolio companies on a monthly basis regarding financial results and operational objectives
  • Develop OneStream knowledge to assist portfolio companies in their monthly reporting, including additional KPI data
  • Create reporting packages alongside portfolio companies for current and historical financial records

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master’s in Accounting or MBA is a plus
  • CPA designation preferred or progress toward designation preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in public accounting or a related finance function
  • Background in Big 4 Assurance and/or Transactions Advisory preferred
  • Current FP&A experience within a significant corporation also of interest
  • Strong accounting and GAAP background
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a deadline-sensitive environment
  • Leadership potential required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s in Accounting
  • MBA
  • CPA designation
  • Progress toward CPA designation
  • Experience in Big 4 Assurance
  • Experience in Transactions Advisory
  • Experience in FP&A within a significant corporation
