Job Summary

In this role, the Financial Program (Data) Analyst candidate would be asked to support the financial and project planning needs of a division, supporting leadership with organizational functions, and helping facilitate the needs of a core group of engineers working on mission critical tasks. ISG has comparatively placed analysts and engineers on-site for support, training, and guidance, however the Financial Program (Data) Analyst will be expected to work semi-independently as an embedded resource within a DOD team.

Specific duties may include:

  • Develop a story from large data sets to create an action plan from what the data is telling you. Create detailed excel dashboards and use data visualization tools to provide comprehensive financial overview of funds received, funds spent, projections, individual project breakdowns and manpower estimates
  • Development of strategies for managing funding amounts amongst ongoing projects
  • Monitor and report on the status, milestones, and/or schedule of designated active projects being performed, including technical, logistical, and financial details.
  • Assessment of whether the project is on schedule, at risk, or falling behind, based upon the project schedule to completion and its budget consumption.
  • Document any hardware/material that is expected to arrive and be stored in the space, and document when any hardware/material is removed from local inventory, along with the costs incurred through transport.
  • Some administrative duties such as organizing and attending key meetings, capture discussions, and producing concise, accurate meeting minutes for distribution, scheduling and coordinate meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor's level degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration to apply. The ideal candidate will take pride in being organized and will be able to set appropriate work priorities independently. Strong attention to details/deadlines and the ability to timely follow-up are preferred, along with proficiencies in certain traits/skills;

  • Must have experience and capability within Microsoft Power BI or similar software
  • Ability to communicate clearly, write professionally, and stay organized
  • Ability to work at a high level within Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), MS Teams and SharePoint.
  • Must pass criminal background check and be prepared to obtain Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Needs at least 2years of progressive project or administrative based functions
  • Experience with Tableau, Power Query, Visual Basic, Qlik Sense / QlikView, Looker (Google Cloud), AWS QuickSight, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Metabase, or any other popular BI and data‑visualization tools is desired will be evaluated favorably.
