Our client is a medium-sized company and a globally renowned brand in mechanical engineering and automation technology. Approximately 50 employees work in Südhessen. The demanding customers come from the manufacturing industry in sectors such as filter technology, textiles, composite materials, aerospace, and automotive. The company belongs to an Asian group that has been successfully operating in Europe for many years.
Your Role
To strengthen the management team of the German locations, we are looking for you as a
Finance & Controlling Manager (m/f/d)
Shape and take responsibility in a renowned company
Your Responsibilities
- Holistic financial responsibility: Steering finances and controlling for two companies at the location, including ensuring transparent and efficient processes
- Controlling & Performance Management: Analysis and monitoring of key performance indicators (e.g., revenue, inventory, contribution margins) as well as conducting sound target-actual comparisons and variance analyses
- Closings & Reporting: Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as regular reporting to stakeholders, including presentation of results
- Planning & Forecasting: Responsibility for budget planning, liquidity management, and forecast processes for sustainable corporate management
- Operational Financial Work & Interface Function: Support of accounting, conducting business analyses (incl. IFRS reconciliation), and active participation in operational topics (e.g., SAP postings, invoice verification)
Your Profile
- Sound qualification in finance: Successfully completed studies with a focus on finance/controlling or a comparable commercial apprenticeship with corresponding further training
- Experience in international controlling: Several years of professional experience in an internationally oriented company, ideally in a project-oriented environment with complex project durations
- Technical expertise & system knowledge: Confident handling of HGB and IFRS as well as very good knowledge of Excel and SAP FI/CO
- Analytical strength & structured working method: Strong understanding of numbers, quick comprehension, and an independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
- Personality & leadership competence: High commitment, sense of responsibility, and experience in leading small teams, combined with good English skills
- Languages German / English fluent
