We are looking for a highly motivated and technically savvy Financial Risk Data Analyst to join our Financial Risk team. This is not a traditional reporting role. In this position, you will focus on building, automating, and continuously improving the data infrastructure and processes that support financial risk analytics and regulatory reporting. Working closely with the Financial Risk Manager and the CRO, you will help transform risk management from manual workflows into a scalable, data-driven, and automation-oriented framework.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines (SQL / Python) for financial risk and regulatory reporting
• Automate and enhance processes for capital adequacy, liquidity metrics (LCR/NSFR), leverage ratio, and large exposures
• Ensure data quality, consistency, traceability, and robustness across risk systems
• Collaborate on risk analysis, ad-hoc analysis, and projects related to existing and new products
• Identify opportunities to streamline manual controls and reporting workflows
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our risk data architecture and tool landscape

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Data Science, or a related field
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in risk, data analysis, fintech, banking, or data infrastructure
• Strong hands-on programming skills in SQL and Python
• Experience with data pipelines, modeling, or data infrastructure
• Solid understanding of financial products (e.g., futures, options, swaps) and/or risk concepts
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently within a small, high-impact team
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks is a plus
• Experience with crypto / digital assets is a plus
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
• Self-motivated, hands-on, and execution-oriented personality
