Finishing Foreman

Our client is looking for a Finishing Foreman to join their team on a prestigious site in the heart of Co. Clare. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality construction within a heritage setting.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all finishing trades to deliver works safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards
• Supervise subcontractors and labour, ensuring efficient sequencing and productivity of finishing activities
• Implement and manage daily and weekly programmes in line with the overall project schedule
• Liaise closely with the Site Manager and subcontractors to maintain smooth site operations and coordination
• Inspect finishing works to ensure compliance with project specifications, Building Standards and the DBL Quality Management System
• Identify, manage and close out defects promptly
• Promote and enforce high standards of health and safety, maintaining accurate H&S records
• Order and monitor materials to ensure continuity of works and avoid delays
• Control plant, labour returns and site resources efficiently
• Maintain a daily site diary recording progress, manpower and key site activities
• Attend site briefings and meetings as required, reporting on progress and issues.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or in a senior finishing supervisory role within the construction industry
• Strong technical knowledge of finishing trades, materials, and construction standards
• Ability to read, interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Strong problem-solving ability with a high level of attention to detail
• Capable of working under pressure and managing competing priorities to meet programme deadlines
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, a related field or a trade
