Payments Operations Specialist / Finops

Salary

R 300,000 - R 660,000 per annum

Responsibilities

We’re searching for a sharp, detail-obsessed Payments Operations Specialist who thrives in fast-moving environments

What You’ll Do:

• Keep daily collections flowing smoothly by monitoring all in- and outflows
• Investigate payment discrepancies, missing allocations, reversals & escalations
• Support Debt Collection Agencies with queries, refunds & statements
• Perform reconciliations, accruals & verify monthly DCA invoices with precision
• Track settlement discounts, reversals, payovers & transaction performance
• Manage DebiCheck runs, Payshap failures & audit trail improvements
• Produce accurate reports and strengthen financial controls

Requirements

Who You Are:

• 3–5 years experience in payments, reconciliations or operations
• This role is data heavy and requires experience with data sets in the payments space
• Analytical, organised and obsessed with detail
• Excel-savvy (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliation files — you love them)
• Confident communicator who can work with internal teams and external partners
• Passionate about fintech, payments operations & continuous improvement
