The Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join a dynamic Fintech company based in Cologne. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing and mentoring a team of talented engineers, driving technical excellence, and contributing to the strategic direction of the engineering department.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of innovative Fintech products.
• Foster a collaborative and agile engineering culture.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver on product roadmaps.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
• Drive technical decision-making and architectural improvements.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and risks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong background in software development, with experience in Fintech.
• Excellent understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
