As a Firmware Development Engineer (m/f/d) you support our team in the development of innovative and powerful firmware solutions. In this role, you will work on the development and optimization of firmware for our latest products and contribute significantly to the success of our technical projects. Dresden is a new location for us, but we see excellent opportunities there to further expand our networked development activities. The proximity to our development and production site in Berlin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Spannende Aufgaben warten auf Dich

• Du bist in der Firmware Entwicklung für Flash-Controller der nächsten Generation aktiv und unterstützt maßgeblich die Entwicklung der Sicherheitsarchitektur und neuer Sicherheitsfunktionen
• Du arbeitest an Konzepten für die Daten- und Firmwaresicherheit und deren Realisierung
• Du kollaborierst eng mit unserem Testteam, um eine umfassende Validierung der Sicherheitsfunktionen unserer Produkte zu erreichen
• Du unterstützt Produktzertifizierungen nach international anerkannten Sicherheitsstandards (z.B. FIPS, NIST, TCG, OCP)

Exciting tasks are waiting for you

• You are active in firmware development for next-generation flash controllers and play a key role in the development of the security architecture and new security functions
• You work on concepts for data and firmware security and their realization
• You collaborate closely with our test team to achieve comprehensive validation of the security functions of our products
• You support product certifications according to internationally recognized security standards (e.g. FIPS, NIST, TCG, OCP)

Requirements

Dein Profil

• Abschluss eines Ingenieurstudiums in Informatik oder einer verwandten Fachrichtung (BSC, MSC oder gleichwertig)
• Du bist aufgeschlossen und arbeitest gerne im Team
• Berufserfahrung im Bereich der Entwicklung von Embedded Software ist von Vorteil, aber auch Anfänger sind willkommen
• Sehr gute Kenntnisse der gängigen symmetrischen und asymmetrischen Verschlüsselungs- und Signaturverfahren
• Kenntnisse der gesetzlichen Anforderungen im Bereich Cyber-Security (Cyber Resilience Act)
• Sehr gute Kenntnisse der Programmiersprache C
• Erfahrung mit Mikroprozessoren, der Architektur von Embedded Systems, Compilern und Entwicklungswerkzeugen für Embedded Software
• Erfahrungen mit Zertifizierungsprozessen nach international anerkannten Sicherheitsstandards sind ein Plus
• Erfahrungen mit spezifischen Host-Schnittstellen für Speichergeräte (wie PCIe/NVMe) sind von Vorteil
• Gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift setzen wir voraus

Your profile

• Degree in engineering in computer science or a related field (BSC, MSC or equivalent)
• You are open-minded and enjoy working in a team
• Professional experience in the field of embedded software development is an advantage, but beginners are also welcome
• Very good knowledge of common symmetric and asymmetric encryption and signature methods
• Knowledge of the legal requirements in the area of cyber security (Cyber Resilience Act)
• Very good knowledge of the C programming language
• Experience with microprocessors, the architecture of embedded systems, compilers and development tools for embedded software
• Experience with certification processes according to internationally recognized security standards is a plus
• Experience with specific host interfaces for storage devices (such as PCIe/NVMe) is an advantage
• Good written and spoken English skills are required
