Fixed Asset Accountant

About the Role

Reporting to senior finance and operations leadership, these positions focus on capital work order analysis, reconciliation, and asset unitization. You’ll play a key part in ensuring project costs are accurately tracked, documented, and capitalized, helping the organization maintain compliance and financial integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Perform reconciliation and detailed analysis of capital work order costs
• Review and validate project-related costs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Gather and organize supporting documentation including supplier invoices, engineering drawings, and project details
• Prepare and structure financial data for asset unitization and capitalization
• Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization
• Support month-end and project close processes related to capital expenditures
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience in a regulated utilities or infrastructure environment is strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with ERP/EAM systems
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation of large datasets
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
