Floor Manager

Our client in George is seeking an experienced and execution-focused Floor Manager with Odyssey software experience to take full ownership of daily store operations within a busy hardware and building materials retail environment. This role requires a hands-on, results-driven individual who can manage staff, drive operational excellence, and run the store as if it were their own business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close the store
• Manage daily floor operations
• Supervise, lead, and motivate staff
• Ensure high levels of customer service
• Take full responsibility for the store when management is not present
• Monitor stock levels and store presentation
• Operate Odyssey POS and software accurately and efficiently
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and operational efficiency

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a Floor Manager / Store Manager in retail would be advantageous
• Proven experience using Odyssey software (non-negotiable)
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Hardware retail experience will be advantageous

Working Hours

• Retail trading hours
• Saturdays: until 13:00
• No working on Sundays

Salary

• R15,000 – R25,000 per month (based on experience)
• Performance-based earning potential
