Principal Engineer – Superalloys & Advanced Manufacturing

Role Overview

My Partner Company is seeking an overseas technical expert to support the development of their superalloy manufacturing capabilities based on project needs, in phases.

This role emphasizes on:

• technical expertise
• implementation of international standards
• understanding of quality requirements in premium markets such as Europe
• driving product launch and stable production

The objective is to:

• strengthen the team’s capabilities in technology development
• process design and improvement
• project execution
• achieving stable mass production, help securing orders, and guiding internal cost control

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Leadership & Industrial Excellence

• Provide phased support to implement a best-in-class superalloy process system, significantly improving yield rate, quality consistency, and cost efficiency
• Provide expert oversight of:
  • advanced composition & inclusion control
  • Single-pouring processes
  • VIM (Vacuum Induction Melting) optimization
  • reproducible and scalable process standards

2. Product Development & Market Delivery

• Assistant on the development and industrialization of high-end aerospace and energy components, including:
  • equiaxed castings
  • directionally solidified (DS)
  • Single-crystal (SX) technologies
• Drive successful execution of international programs with leading customers such as GE Aviation, MTU, Univance, Baker Hughes, etc.

3. Quality & System Standardization

• Establish and institutionalize globally competitive quality and production systems
• Implement structural frameworks for:
  • process control
  • inspection and validation
  • revert material utilization at scale

4. Smart Factory & Digital Transformation

• Assistant on the implementation of smart manufacturing systems, including:
  • MES deployment and optimization
  • automation of core production processes
• Enable full process transparency, traceability, and data-driven decision-making

5. Team Development

• Mentor and develop local engineering teams
• Transfer international best practices into scalable operational capabilities
• Act as a bridge between global standards and local execution

Qualifications

1. Education

• Ph.D. (preferred) or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field

2. Experience

• 10+ years of experience in:

  • superalloys
  • investment casting
  • aerospace or turbine components

• Proven track record within leading global industrial companies, Tier 1 suppliers, or internationally recognized research institutions in aerospace, energy, or advanced materials.

3. Technical Expertise

• Deep knowledge of:
  • equiaxed, DS, and SX casting technologies
  • full-process metallurgical control
• Experience with:
  • MES systems and smart factory environments
  • international aerospace standards (e.g., GE, MTU)

4. Communication

• Fluent English required
• Ability to operate effectively in cross-cultural environments
