As FDE Applied AI, you will actively shape how we bring Decision Intelligence effectively into everyday enterprise life. You will understand the business in depth, build the right solution on the paretos platform, and simultaneously further develop our product. Your daily work is varied: 25 to 50 percent of your time you will spend on-site at the customer, the rest with the team in our Heidelberg office. We look forward to your application if you already live in the Rhine-Neckar region or are willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• You conduct discovery and requirements workshops, at eye level with specialist teams from Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Operations, and with C-Levels.
• You translate business requirements into concrete platform configurations and moderate data-driven decisions with the customer.
• You configure forecast and replenishment solutions on the paretos platform, agent-assisted and iteratively.
• You connect customer data and define our semantic data layer as the basis for accurate forecasts and answers from our agent Socrates.
• You ensure that results reach the customer workflow through clean handovers into ERP or planning systems.
• You build dashboards, data processing, and creative solution components using Vibe Engineering that create real added value in the use case.
• You convert recurring tasks into skills, thereby actively expanding our internal agent structure: agent workflows, MCP integrations, custom skills.
• Presentations and documentation are predominantly created by you with AI support: fast, structured, to the point.

Typical application areas in which you will be active:

• Demand Forecasting: Identification of the right forecast drivers, data connection, model configuration.
• Replenishment & Inventory Optimization: End-to-end – from demand forecasting to automated order suggestions.
• Deploying Custom Applications: Solve individually relevant problems for our customers and bring the solution from concept to application.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role, such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or Software Engineer with consulting experience. Former technical founders explicitly welcome.
• Strong data affinity: You dive deep into datasets, recognize causal chains, and want to understand processes in detail.
• You demonstrably work AI-first. Agents, LLMs, Claude Code, and Vibe Coding are standard, not the exception.
• Practical experience with LLMs and agent systems, including prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and production deployment.
• High self-responsibility and the ability to navigate confidently in complex organizations, even with ambiguity.
• Clear, convincing communication, both technical and non-technical, with a low ego.
• German at native level or C1, fluent English.
