Food companies spend billions trying to understand what people want to eat—surveys, focus groups, trend reports—yet most new products fail. The real signal sits inside restaurants, unstructured and uncollected, every single day. Flavar is building the infrastructure to capture that signal, giving companies designing food products around real taste behavior an edge that no survey can replicate.

Role Overview

This is a 0‑to‑1 role building core systems from scratch. You’ll work directly with the founder, have a real say in product and architecture from day one, and own end‑to‑end development rather than a predefined task list.

Responsibilities

• Full‑stack development: frontend, backend, and APIs
• Build AI‑driven systems, agents, and data workflows
• Make product and architecture decisions, not just implementation
• Create real behavioural data pipelines (not toy datasets)

Who We’re Looking For

• CS students or recent graduates with real projects to show
• Builders; a GitHub profile is mandatory
• People who want ownership over a system, not a task list
• Someone who can pick up an ambiguous problem and ship something
• Able to work independently; this role is not for learning the basics

Required Skills

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience (React or Next.js)
• Backend: Node.js or Python, APIs, databases
• SQL and NoSQL knowledge
• Comfortable with Git and independent deployment
• Use AI as a core development tool, not just a shortcut

Compensation

Paid stipend, discussed transparently at the offer stage.
