The Opportunity

Otacta Inc. is a technology company focused on building AI systems for the future of work.

We are building Sofia, an AI operator that runs the commercial operations of CPG and multi-channel commerce brands. Sofia is an intelligence and decision layer that models fragmented operational data and and gets more accurate and more capable with every decision she makes, enabling teams to grow topline, reduce margin leakage, and operate with greater capital efficiency driving better overall financial outcomes. We are proving this daily with our customers.

Our vision: a fully autonomous commercial operation, where every pricing decision, inventory position, supply chain move, and capital allocation runs on Sofia, operated by a team a fraction of the size that industry demands today.

The infrastructure layer is what makes that possible. The agent orchestration, the multi-source data pipelines, the semantic layer, the decision memory graph, and continuous learning loops, all of it runs in production today and expands with every new client and every new data source we connect.

The Role

Sofia is running commercial decisions for operators right now. You are building the infrastructure she runs on.

You will own the systems that ensure Sofia is reasoning accurately at 6am when a daily workflow fires, a commerce platform webhook is delayed, an advertising API rate-limits, and three approval gates are waiting on operator response simultaneously. That is a normal Tuesday.

We move lightning fast and ship something every day. You will see your work running in production against real client data before the week is out.

You report to our Lead Engineer, who architected the core platform, and work directly with the founder on product direction and priorities.

What You Will Build

Sofia is a per-company intelligence system, one that ingests a business's full operational context, builds a persistent model of how that business works, and gets more accurate and more capable the longer she runs. The infrastructure that makes that possible exists, runs in production today, and is yours to evolve, harden, and scale.

• End-to-end agentic systems: orchestration, iterative loops, approval gates, self-correction
• Per-company memory and reasoning: the layer that makes Sofia compound over time
• Data processing and semantic layer: ingestion, normalization, multi-tenant consistency
• Integrations across every system Sofia touches: commerce, advertising, ERP, POS, logistics, wholesale
• Operator-facing intelligence layer: visibility, approvals, controls
• Observability end to end: every workflow run inspectable from ingestion through outcome

Stack: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, LangGraph, Anthropic API, OpenAI, React, TypeScript, Next.js, AWS, Docker, CI/CD

What We're Looking For

• A strong full-stack engineer with a natural pull toward backend systems, data infrastructure, and the foundational layers that everything else runs on.
• Bonus: hands-on experience with supply chain systems, ERP platforms, e-commerce platforms, or advertising APIs or multi-tenant SaaS at scale.
