Founding Engineer (AI startup-Remote)

Company Overview

We are an early-stage, funded AI start up that is expanding and looking to add another founding software engineer. We are using AI to modernize a very dated process and making the life of software engineers easier across the globe.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Founding Engineer to join our innovative AI startup. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the technical foundation of our company, developing cutting‑edge AI solutions, and leading the engineering team. The ideal candidate is passionate about machine learning and has experience in startup environments, ready to take on the challenges of building and scaling AI‑driven products from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable machine learning models and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with the founding team to define the product vision and roadmap.
• Lead the engineering efforts in creating a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
• Implement best practices in software development, including CI/CD processes.
• Optimize AI models for performance and scalability across various platforms.
• Conduct research to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and machine learning.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Python programming and machine learning development.
• Background in startup environments, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Linux and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Knowledge of LLM, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and similar technologies is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for innovation in AI.
