Join a small, technically strong team building the core platform for a complex, data-intensive software product. A solid AI usecase that is solving a real problem with massive impact that everyone can relate to. This is a foundational engineering role with equity that reflects this.

You will drive a multi-cloud platform/infrastructure (mainly Azure/GCP) and Backend Engineering (Python/FastAPI). The team heavily uses AI agents and other tooling to move efficiently, while maintaining a strong focus on system quality and maintainability.

What You’ll Do Backend & Platform Engineering • Own and evolve backend architecture for a distributed systems • Build backend services using Python, FastAPI, and relational databases • Design APIs, background processing, and job orchestration • Implement secure and scalable data flows

Infrastructure & Deployment • Build systems that run across multiple environments (Azure/GCP and private setups) • Ensure logical separation between customer environments • Design identity, networking, and service integrations • Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or similar tools

Operations & Reliability • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines • Implement logging, metrics, and tracing • Improve automated testing and system robustness

Security & Integrations • Design systems with security and compliance in mind • Build secure APIs and external integrations • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms

Collaboration • Work closely with Founders, engineers and product stakeholders • Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making • Collaborate with client technical teams

Who You Are Technical • Significant experience in Platform/Backend engineering • Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture • Proficient in Python backend development with FastApi • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Mainly Azure/GCP) and containerized systems • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) • Comfortable operating and evolving systems in production
