Role Requirements

Seniority

• 3 - 8 years of experience in shipping production software across frontend and backend.

Work experience

• Shipped LLM-powered product in production.
• Built agent/sub-agent orchestration in production.
• Experience at an early-stage startup, preferably at as a founding engineer or ex-founder.
• Legal tech or regulated-industry domain experience.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field.

Hard skills

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Hands-on production experience with AI tools like Claude Code or GPT APIs.

Soft skills

• Fully autonomous; drives projects end-to-end independently.
• Uses AI tools as assistive workflow, not blind vibe coding.

Miscellaneous

• US-based with 4+ hours daily ET overlap.
• Willing to travel to NYC ~1 week per quarter.
• Experience with modern web technologies, frameworks, and software engineering best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Startup or entrepreneurial experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and time-management skills

Salary

$180K - $220K

Equity

0.2% – 0.5% equity

Remote work policy

Remote US-based with a strong preference for NYC. Eastern Time overlap preferred (4+ hours daily).
