Founding Senior Full Stack Engineer | AI HealthTech | Munich (Relocation Supported)

A newly funded, venture-backed AI healthtech startup is hiring a Founding Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a small elite team building category-defining technology from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join at true early stage, work directly with the founders, and help shape both product and engineering from day one.

The Mission

The company is building smartphone-based health screening technology using AI to detect health biomarkers through face, voice, motion and behavioural data. The vision is to make preventative healthcare radically more accessible and become the front door to future healthcare.

The Role

This is not a narrow ticket-taking engineering role. You will be a core founding technical hire with real ownership across product development, platform engineering and execution velocity. You’ll be trusted to build quickly, make smart technical decisions, and help create the engineering culture from the start.

What You’ll Own

• Build backend systems and customer-facing products end-to-end
• Develop scalable APIs and core platform services
• Ship product features across frontend and backend
• Work directly with founders on roadmap and priorities
• Help define engineering standards, tooling and workflows
• Use AI tooling to increase speed and leverage
• Contribute to architecture decisions as the platform scales

What They’re Looking For

Likely background includes:

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• Strong backend capability with Python / FastAPI
• Strong frontend capability with TypeScript / React / Next.js
• Experience shipping products in startup or high-ownership environments
• Strong product instincts and bias for action
• CI/CD, testing and modern engineering practices
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast
• Builder mentality, low ego, high standards

Nice to Have

• AI / LLM / ML product exposure
• Mobile experience (Flutter ideal)
• Cloud infrastructure experience (GCP / AWS)
• Regulated industry experience (healthtech / fintech / banking)

Location

Munich (On-site preferred) Relocation support available for exceptional candidates based elsewhere.

Compensation

Highly competitive salary dependent on experience
