Your Responsibilities

  • Development, further development, and maintenance of FPGA designs in VHDL for embedded, real-time measurement and testing systems
  • Development and adaptation of hardware-related embedded firmware in C/C++ for configuration, control, and parameterization of FPGA functions
  • Design, implementation, and simulation of digital signal processing and FPGA architectures for deterministic processing of measurement data
  • Implementation of synchronized FPGA logic, state machines, and clock-deterministic processing structures
  • Execution of timing analyses and definition and maintenance of constraints
  • Analysis, optimization, and further development of existing FPGA and firmware architectures
  • Integration and connection of various hardware interfaces, e.g., sensors, actuators, measurement data acquisition
  • Implementation of communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet
  • Commissioning, debugging, and validation on real hardware
  • Technical analysis and resolution of complex error patterns in existing systems
  • Contribution to the design of FPGA-related hardware architectures and clock concepts
  • Contribution to technical documentation and structured testing procedures

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or comparable qualification
  • Very good knowledge of VHDL
  • Experience with FPGA toolchains (preferably Intel or Lattice)
  • Experience in timing analysis, constraint management, and digital circuit development
  • Experience in Embedded C/C++ and microcontroller architectures
  • Knowledge of FPGA-based signal processing (e.g., filters, trigger logic, FFT) is an advantage
  • Understanding of FPGA-related hardware architectures and ability to read and technically evaluate circuit diagrams
  • Experience in measurement technology or non-destructive testing (NDT) is an advantage
  • Structured, analytical, and quality-oriented way of working
  • Team player and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
