About the Role

Free People is looking for a motivated Digital Marketing Associate. The ideal candidate is proactive and detail‑oriented and will play a key role in the execution and growth of our email program. The Associate is responsible for managing and executing email campaigns to more than 2 million customers across multiple business units and initiatives. This role sits within the Free People Digital Team, a cross‑functional group that manages Free People’s direct‑to‑consumer business and includes Analytics, Consumer Insights, Content, Marketing and UX. Our integrated team structure and culture of professional development will provide opportunities for team‑oriented individuals wanting to pursue a career in email and digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Code, set up, QA, and deploy marketing & trigger email campaigns for the brand
  • Manage multiple email calendars, liaise with other marketing planning calendars
  • Communication lead for Merchandising, Graphic Design, Brand and URBN IT teams to ensure timely delivery of all email campaigns daily
  • Execute audience segmentation within marketing and trigger funnels
  • Identify and proactively triage issues within the ESP; lead trouble‑shooting communication with external and internal partners
  • Maintain email performance reporting; evaluate performance and optimize strategy
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly channel performance deliverables to leadership
  • Attend relevant meetings to understand business needs

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) from a four‑year college or equivalent with a degree in Marketing or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in marketing
  • Salesforce, Bluecore or other ESP experience preferred
  • Prior experience in executing email campaigns preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML a plus
  • E‑commerce experience and interest in retail preferred
