Role

Freelance Architect / Project Manager (Archicad Required)
Location: New Canaan, CT, US (candidates must be located in or near Fairfield County, CT and able to attend weekly in-person meetings)
Employment type: Part‑time contract (~20 hrs/week) for a single project, with potential for ongoing collaboration for the right fit
Pay: $75 – $100 hourly (1099 contract)

What You’ll Do

• Lead an existing project from Design Development through Construction Administration
• Collaborate with the Principal and Interior Designer
• Produce clear, coordinated construction documents
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients
• Oversee drafting support and maintain quality control
• Develop and manage BIM models in Archicad

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years residential experience (wood frame required)
• Strong construction documentation and detailing skills
• Archicad proficiency (required)
• Ability to work independently and execute design intent
• Experience with high‑end clients, contractors, and small teams
• Working knowledge of CT codes, IRC, FEMA, and local regulations
• Architecture degree; license a plus
• U.S. work authorization

Work Style

• Remote with core‑hour collaboration
• Weekly travel to Fairfield County, CT (Westport area)
• Self‑directed, organized, reliable

Compensation

• 1099 contract
• $75‑$100/hour, dependent on experience
