About the role

What You Will Do

The Guidehouse Team supports the OSE Data Governance Division by performing data quality, data metrics, data sharing, data governance, and data analysis initiatives as well as configuring and performing operations & maintenance on a COTS data governance tool. Due to the large, matrixed, and dynamic nature of the program, the Guidehouse Team often plays a critical role in a number of cross-functional projects, initiatives, and taskings.

As a Front-End Developer on the team, developers perform important functions in helping federal clients with specific initiatives related to the configuration, integration, operations, and maintenance of a COTs data governance tool as well as other initiatives requiring integration and user interfaces. Examples include:

  • Designing and implementing functionality within the tool and working collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to ensure the tool is configured to meet business needs.
  • Assess current-state implementations to identify pain-points, develop future-state requirements and implement solutions, leveraging a COTs data governance tool or other user interfaces that integrate with the COTs tool.

What You Will Need

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Full Scope/Lifestyle (FS) polygraph
  • Bachelor Degree
  • SIX (6)+ years' of experience supporting state, local, or federal customers
  • Hands on experience in use of languages, such as HTML, CSS, and front-end Javascript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Experience developing performant and robust front-end applications which make use of REST APIs
  • Understanding and experience with data formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON
  • Ability to translate UI/UX wireframe mockups to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application or web interface

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Knowledge of data visualizations, design principles and methodology
  • Demonstrated understanding of the data governance framework.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and tools
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance
  • Flexibility, agility, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as to work independently in an agile environment using DevOps processes and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solver, self-starter, and communicator; demonstrable capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly and document technical concepts proficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to building relations with and communicate across all levels of staff and leadership, along with a variety of internal and external stakeholders groups.
