Front End Software Engineer

We are looking for front end software engineers to join a large team that is providing lifecycle O&M for a scalable NextGen space resiliency / flight safety program. This is an incredible opportunity to join a highly professional team that built a COMPLETE SYSTEM (architecture, platform, tool/capability, microservices – full with integration, verification, and validation.) The ideal candidates will be hands-on developers and engineers.

Requirements/Must Have

• Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML
• Experience with the Vue.js framework
• Experience with Agile development, including SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
• Experience with creating REST calls with a Node.js library, including Express.js or Axios
• Experience with supporting junior and mid-level engineers
• Experience with designing new UI features
• Experience with unit testing
• Knowledge of REST APIs
• Experience developing, managing, and securing containers (Dockers and ContainerD)

Education/Experience - Must Have Requirements

• Senior Level:
  • 10 years of experience in either (a) software engineering (b) software development or (c) systems engineering for information technology systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field.
• Mid Level:
  • 5 years of experience in software engineering or software development for information technology systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field.

Eligibility Requirements

• TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Ability to work at contractor facility in Chantilly, VA or Herndon, VA

• Background with Space Systems (satellites, sensors, payloads, orbital dynamics, astrodynamics, flight safety, satellite conjunction analysis), GEOINT, SIGINT.
• Experience with Maven, Rancher, Sonarqube
• Experience with GIT, Ruby, ArgoCD
• Experience with Terraform
• AWS Cloud Computing Skills, AWS CloudWatch, Elastic Search, Prometheus, Grafana
• Familiarity with NIFI, Apache, Kafka
• Kalman Filtering
• Experience with Orchestration Software/Tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Docker
• Experience with Linux OS and command line interface
