Description:

The ideal candidate will design and build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces for Federal Government web applications. This role requires strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles.
As a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical digital solutions to our Federal Government customers, helping create intuitive and effective user experiences for government systems.
Work Location: On-site, Arlington, VA
Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop responsive, accessible web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js). • Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional user interfaces. • Ensure all frontend code meets Section 508 accessibility standards and WCAG 2.1 guidelines. • Optimize frontend application performance, including load times, rendering, and resource utilization. • Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and data services. • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experiences. • Participate in code reviews and enforce frontend development best practices. • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field. • 3 years of frontend development. • Demonstrated expertise in: HTML/CSS/JavaScript, frontend frameworks, responsive design, user experience, accessibility. • Must be a U.S. Citizen. • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.
Desired Skills: • Understand PeopleSoft and related Oracle technology. • AWS Certified Developer or equivalent cloud/frontend certification. • Experience developing frontend applications for DoD or federal agency programs. • Familiarity with design systems (e.g., U.S. Web Design System - USWDS). • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Selenium.
