Frontend Engineer

About

As a Frontend Engineer at Haiku, you will join our Product team with the responsibility of designing and developing the interfaces of our SaaS platform, used daily by our clients to interact with our AI agents.

You will work on modern challenges related to conversational interfaces, real-time, performance, and user experience on products exposed to high demands.

You will actively contribute to the quality, consistency, and evolution of our frontend. You will be responsible for transforming product challenges into robust, elegant, and performant interfaces, with a good level of autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve the interfaces of our SaaS platform
• Actively contribute to the product roadmap on the frontend side
• Participate in identifying high-impact UX and performance opportunities
• Contribute to our design system and reusable components
• Participate in frontend industrialization (performance, accessibility, testing, CI)
• Apply and evolve technical standards and frontend best practices
• Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and AI teams

Experience & Education

• You have 2+ years of experience as a Frontend Developer
• You have a Master's degree (engineering school or specialized master's) or equivalent
• You have already worked on SaaS products in production
• You have already led significant frontend projects from start to finish
• You are capable of owning your subjects with a good level of autonomy and ownership

Required Skills

• Very good command of React and TypeScript
• Sensitivity to product, design, and UX
• Solid foundation in performance, accessibility, and code quality (testing, CI)
• Comfortable with REST/GraphQL APIs and real-time architectures (WebSockets, SSE)
• Ability to structure subjects and propose reasoned technical choices
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Other

• Based in France (bi-annual trips to Paris)
• Fluent in English

Hiring Process

• Screen call to understand your background, motivations, and to present Haiku and the position (30 min)
• Technical interview with our Lead Frontend to assess your frontend expertise (90 min)
• Interview with the CTO (45 min)
• Final interview to validate cultural fit with Jules, the CEO (45 min)
