Fullstack Developer

Role Overview

We are an interdisciplinary team of specialists focusing on the development of innovative ideas and software solutions, both for internal use cases and in relation to our core product Octoplant. We have a strong focus on web technologies and AI topics. We see ourselves as service providers for other internal departments and provide support where further development and innovation are stalled due to day-to-day business or resource bottlenecks.

Your Tasks

Primarily, you will work on:

• The team already has frontend and backend developers. You are our "Jack of all Trades" - the best of both worlds and act as dynamic reinforcement of our manpower. Your overarching expertise gives you a holistic view of our projects.
• Development of modern web applications with React and/or Vue.js in the frontend.
• Implementation of responsive user interfaces with Tailwind CSS.
• Backend development with PHP and TYPO3 extension development.
• You take responsibility for your projects and independently drive further development forward – of course in coordination with the respective stakeholders. Initiative and creativity are explicitly required. You actively shape things and don't just work through tickets.
• Development and integration of RESTful APIs.
• Collaboration in an interdisciplinary team (UI/UX designers, frontend developers, backend developers, AI specialists).

In addition, you will contribute to:

• Contribution to the continuous improvement of our software architecture and processes.
• Optimization of CI/CD processes in GitLab.
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
• Perspectively: Shaping the technological further development towards C# in the backend.
• If interested: Contribute to the development of GenAI-based solutions.

Your Profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Independent work in a remote setup.
• Experience with TYPO3 is a plus – your willingness to familiarize yourself with new systems is more important to us.
• Willingness and interest to develop further in C# in the long term.
• Open eye for deficits and potentials – technical & organizational.
• Good German and English skills in spoken and written form.
• Willingness to travel regularly to our HQ in Landau (approx. 10% of working time). We are mostly remote, but meet regularly on-site in Landau to brainstorm ideas and advance projects together. Personal exchange should not be neglected. If you are from the Landau, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, or Kaiserslautern area, or live within easy reach, that's perfect.

Technical Skills

Frontend:

• In-depth knowledge of React and/or Vue.js.
• Proficient in using Tailwind CSS.
• An eye for usability and accessibility.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Responsive Web Design.

Backend:

• Solid PHP knowledge.
• Experience with TYPO3 extension development (Extbase/Fluid) is a big plus.
• C# ASP.NET knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Yii2 is an advantage.
• Proficient in using MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• RESTful API Design and Integration.

Tools & Workflow:

• Git version control.
• GitLab CI/CD.
• Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
• VS Code, CursorAI, GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with Unit/Integration Tests is an advantage.
• Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) are an advantage.
