Summary

The Lowell Group at the Essen location is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer (m/f/d) with sound knowledge in microservice architectures, Smalltalk, and the migration of legacy systems. In this position, you will work on the further development of modern software solutions, actively support the replacement and modernization of existing systems, and contribute your expertise to Smalltalk-based applications. Job Description

As a Full-Stack Developer (m/f/d) at Lowell, you will be responsible for:

  • Development and further development of modern full-stack applications based on a microservice architecture
  • Analysis, planning, and implementation of migration projects for existing legacy systems
  • Integration of applications from Smalltalk systems
  • Close collaboration with DevOps, QA, and business teams to ensure smooth releases
  • Documentation and continuous improvement of existing processes and architectures

Join our team if you:

  • Have several years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer (Frontend & Backend)
  • Possess sound knowledge in microservice architectures and distributed systems
  • Have initial experience with Smalltalk (e.g., VisualWorks, Pharo, or VA Smalltalk) (desirable)
  • Have initial experience in migrating legacy systems to modern platforms (desirable)
  • Have knowledge of modern technologies (e.g., C#, .net, Blazor, Azure DevOps, gRPC)
  • Have initial experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes (desirable)
  • Possess analytical thinking, team spirit, and a solution-oriented approach to work as a matter of course
