Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

Development

• Building and integrating RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js to support enterprise-level web applications.

Database Management

• Integrating and managing PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, including writing advanced SQL queries and working with data formats such as JSON and XML.

Testing & Quality

• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, including unit and integration testing with React Testing Library (RTL).

Tools

• Utilizing Git or Bitbucket for version control and collaborating with team members using Visual Studio Code; developing and maintaining API documentation using Swagger UI.

Security & Compliance

• Implementing authentication and authorization best practices; ensuring web applications are compliant with Section 508 accessibility standards.

Production Support

• Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems, including resolving production outages by analyzing Splunk logs and Dynatrace.

Systems Integration

• Integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions into robust, API-driven architectures for real-time connectivity with existing systems.

Optimization

• Conducting performance analysis and tuning to optimize memory and CPU consumption.
