Compensation
- $85k–$95k base salary
- Very Competitive equity (Restricted Stock Awards, which are better than options!)

The Ideal Candidate
- Worked at a startup (or has startup experience)
- Has experience working at a bank, credit union, or a fintech building products, building things like core banking integrations, payment processing, ACH, or KYC systems
- Ready with the technical skillset and the personal drive to become a core engineer at a rapidly growing organization with a big vision
- Able to take a problem, create and test solutions (from the frame of the user) with good code quality and velocity
- Prepared to take on individual responsibilities such as implementing integrations with third-party systems (Plaid, Block, ADP, Workday, or other financial or payroll APIs), collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and developing APIs, and contributing to system improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's, ideally in Computer Science, or currently wrapping up Master's in CS
- 3–4+ years of experience as a software engineer
- 3+ years of experience in application architecture, design, and development, particularly with Node.js frameworks (NestJS, Express.js, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience developing client-facing front-end applications using a modern web framework, Angular preferred
- Proficient with SQL and experience with relational databases like Postgres
- Familiarity and experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and build systems
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native applications (preferably AWS)
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and other application and cloud security best practices, including secure API design, data protection, identity and access management, and vulnerability monitoring in cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
Bonus
- Familiarity with AWS DevSecOps processes and experience with SOC2 compliance
- Experience designing and building event-driven services on AWS
- Experience with a headless CMS, specifically Strapi
- Experience working at a startup
- Domain knowledge:
- HR tech, including HCM data models and integrations with payroll and HCM systems (ADP, UKG, Workday)
- Fintech, including core banking and concepts such as Banking as a Service (BaaS), integrations, and payments

Location

We have a hybrid working style. With the Commonwealth of Virginia as an investor, our team members must be in Virginia or 2nd hub in/around Denver, Colorado.
