Full Stack Java Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join a long-term project. The ideal candidate must be local to New York City or New Jersey and available for an in-person interview. This role requires strong expertise in both backend and frontend development, with a focus on building scalable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java-based technologies
• Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Build responsive and dynamic front-end interfaces using modern frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, QA, and DevOps
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Work in Agile/Scrum development environments

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture
• Frontend expertise in Angular / React / JavaScript / TypeScript / HTML / CSS
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and Web Services
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.)
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in media/entertainment or large enterprise environments
• Exposure to DevOps practices
• Familiarity with security and performance optimization
