About
The Full Stack Software Engineer plays a crucial role in software engineering across all stack layers, from database setup to back-end programming and front-end appearance. This hands-on position involves maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing an established enterprise application. Strong expertise in Windows Forms, .NET technologies, and full-stack development skills—including backend services, frontend frameworks, and Oracle databases—are essential.
The engineer will engage with a mature codebase to enhance performance, stability, and maintainability while collaborating with offshore developers through code reviews and shared responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain an existing enterprise application using Windows Forms and .NET frameworks.
- Refactor and optimize to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Engage hands-on (80% of the time) across backend, frontend, and database layers, including modernizing existing components and developing new features.
- Collaborate with offshore teams through code reviews, troubleshooting, and shared work.
- Refactor existing Windows Forms screens, backend services, and integrations with modern practices.
- Work with Product Owners, QA, and team leads to deliver enhancements and modernization improvements.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues within existing code under partial guidance from senior engineers.
- Support initiatives for gradual modernization while ensuring system stability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications.
- Proven experience with maintaining and enhancing enterprise applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and make informed technical decisions for medium to complex tasks.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality applications and enhancing user experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Experience in the specialty pharmacy domain (preferably ScriptMed).

Work-At-Home Requirements
Your home internet service must meet a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps. A wired cable or DSL connection is recommended, while satellite, cellular, and microwave connections require leadership approval.
Humana will provide necessary telephone equipment for your role, along with guidance to create a workspace that ensures the protection of member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel may be required for training or meetings at Humana's offices.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $89,000 - $121,400 per year, based on experience and skills. This role is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
