Eligibility

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance at the TS/SCI level with required polygraph (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement efficient, flexible solutions that can scale for mission‑critical applications.
  • Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle: planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Apply software standards and processes to produce high‑quality, extensible, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Work with cloud tech stacks to perform data extraction, manipulation, transformation, and visualization of geospatial‑temporal data sets.
  • Develop analytics/derivative data products to help users extract meaningful knowledge.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and solve issues.
  • Work directly with users throughout the IC/DoD to understand requirements and propose technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, clients, and users.
  • Ability to work full‑time onsite.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and a current TS/SCI clearance (with willingness to obtain a CI polygraph).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.
  • 5+ years of experience with:
    • Developing custom software solutions.
    • Performing data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis with strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C++.
    • Linux skills and familiarity with cloud architectures (AWS, C2S).
    • NoSQL data stores (Elastic, MongoDB, etc.).
    • Development tools such as Git, Eclipse, Maven.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work full‑time onsite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with common industry software tools, concepts, and DevSecOps.
  • Adaptable, solution‑centric mindset that embraces technology enablers.
  • Experience with GIS, geospatial data, tools, techniques, processing, and visualization.
  • Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience working with open‑source resources in a government computing environment.

Pay Transparency

  • Base pay for this position in the Washington, DC metropolitan area: $113,000 – $188,000 annually.
  • Salary ranges for other locations are determined based on geographic cost of labor and market conditions.
