About This Role
This is an undergraduate research intern position working with Dr. Zhan Zhang in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems on a research project aimed at developing an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered clinical decision support tool for emergency care providers. The project is funded by the National Science Foundation. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team of experts from Pace University and partner institutions with expertise in Human-Computer Interaction, AI, machine learning, and emergency medicine.
You are expected to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
Responsibilities
In this role, your major duties and responsibilities include:
- Implementing the front end and back end of the decision support tool;
- Conducting system testing with end users;
- Participating in weekly project meetings and contributing to project goals, requirements, processes, deliverables, and timelines;
- Participating in undergraduate research training and mentoring sessions.
