Full-Stack Developer (Agent / Tool Focus)

About the Role

The Full-Stack Developer (Agent / Tool Focus) is responsible for designing and building AI agent systems and tool integrations for a modern generative AI platform. This role focuses on agent architecture, orchestration, and framework evolution while developing scalable backend services and APIs. The developer collaborates across teams to establish best practices, ensure high-quality delivery, and expand platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Agent Architecture & Orchestration

• Design and implement multi-agent systems, including orchestration layers coordinating specialized sub-agents
• Migrate agent implementations across frameworks while improving performance and maintaining feature parity
• Build agent workflows supporting tool-calling, context management, and multi-turn interactions
• Contribute to system architecture decisions to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability

Engineering Excellence & Development

• Develop tools and integrations that extend agent capabilities using API-driven and tool-serving patterns
• Build and maintain backend services using modern asynchronous frameworks (e.g., Python-based)
• Deploy and operate services using cloud platforms and containerized environments
• Write evaluation tests to validate agent behavior, response quality, and tool execution accuracy
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in API design, testing, and development standards

Quality & Testing

• Implement comprehensive testing strategies across agent workflows (unit, integration, and end-to-end)
• Design evaluation frameworks to assess agent performance, accuracy, and reliability
• Promote test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing practices
• Establish reusable quality standards and testing patterns across the codebase

Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with data and platform teams to integrate knowledge sources into agent workflows
• Contribute to complex features requiring strong understanding of generative AI and agent design patterns
• Participate in the full product lifecycle, from concept through deployment
• Communicate progress, priorities, and technical concepts clearly to stakeholders

Generative AI & Emerging Technologies

• Develop and maintain integrations with large language models (LLMs) and evolving agent frameworks
• Stay current with advancements in AI tooling, orchestration patterns, and model capabilities
• Identify opportunities to enhance functionality and user experience through AI innovation

Security & Compliance

• Follow security best practices and organizational policies
• Implement secure coding standards, particularly for sensitive data handling
• Participate in threat modeling and security reviews for APIs and platform components
• Support compliance requirements in regulated or security-focused environments
