FullStack/Senior Backend Engineer – Fintech/Crypto Wallet Infra

Role Summary

We are building a digital asset platform focused on simple, reliable crypto transactions for users across Africa. We are looking for a FullStack/Senior Backend Engineer who can maintain and extend our crypto wallet infrastructure, manage API integrations with blockchain services, and ensure reliable transaction processing across multiple digital assets.

Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain backend services for a crypto transaction platform • Manage blockchain integrations for assets such as BTC, ETH, TRON, and others • Build and maintain secure API endpoints for wallet operations (deposit, withdrawal, balance checks) • Integrate third-party blockchain infrastructure providers where required • Ensure transaction reliability and proper error handling across blockchain networks • Maintain documentation for APIs and backend infrastructure • Collaborate with frontend engineers to support mobile app integrations • Monitor system performance and improve scalability of backend services • Implement security best practices for digital asset handling

Requirements • Strong backend development experience (Node.js / TypeScript preferred) • Experience building REST APIs and backend services • Understanding of wallet infrastructure and transaction flows • Familiarity with blockchain networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or TRON • Experience integrating third-party APIs or blockchain service providers • Good understanding of backend security practices • Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) • Ability to write clear technical documentation • Must be comfortable working in a startup environment with structured timelines, documentation, and weekly deliverables.

Nice to Have • Experience with crypto exchanges, wallets, or fintech platforms • Experience with blockchain nodes or RPC integrations • Familiarity with Web3 libraries (web3.js, ethers.js) • Experience with wallet security or multisig infrastructure • DevOps experience (Docker, cloud infrastructure)

Engagement Type • Contract or project-based role (with potential for long-term engagement) • Remote role • Initial focus on completing and stabilizing backend infrastructure for a live mobile crypto application

Job Types: Full-time, Contract Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
