Who we are looking for
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Functional Software Tester - Freelance to join our team in Bitrock. You will be part of a QA management project linked to the software development life cycle for an application in the field of eye care.
Key Responsibilities
Sprint Integration
- Requirement Analysis: Participate in Sprint Planning and Refinement to provide "Testability" feedback on User Stories.
- Acceptance Criteria: Collaborate with Product Owners to define clear, measurable Acceptance Criteria (AC).
- In‑Sprint Testing: Execute functional testing as soon as developers move a task to "In Progress," ensuring bugs are caught before the sprint ends.
Test Execution & Analysis
- Manual and Automation Functional Testing: Perform end‑to‑end testing of new features, focusing on UI/UX, business logic, and workflow validation.
- Exploratory Testing: Go beyond the written scripts to find "edge case" defects that automated tests might miss.
- Regression Testing: Ensure that new code hasn't broken existing functionality (often through a mix of manual checks and triggering automation suites).
- Bug Reporting: Document defects with clear steps to reproduce, screenshots, and logs in tools like Jira.
- Daily Stand‑ups: Provide concise updates on testing progress, blockers, and "ready for release" status.
- Feedback Loop: Provide immediate feedback to developers to reduce the cost of fixing defects.
