GCP Data Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a skilled GCP Data Engineer to support a strategic cloud migration and data modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, as well as exposure to Azure and Snowflake, as the organization transitions from a hybrid cloud environment to a GCP-first architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Work with tools such as Dataproc, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
• Integrate data from Snowflake and Azure environments.
• Develop and manage APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Apigee) for data access and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data engineering needs.
• Ensure data quality, security, and performance across platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake and Azure data services.
• Familiarity with API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and cloud migration strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or enterprise data environments.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and data governance best practices.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with GCP tools (BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow).
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake and Azure.
• API development experience (e.g., FastAPI, Apigee).
• Cloud migration experience, especially from Azure to GCP.
• Strong understanding of data engineering best practices.
• Ability to work in a mixed cloud environment.
