Job Description

This role is for a well-rounded technologist to join a cutting-edge Data & AI team focused on building next-generation data platforms, automation frameworks, and AI-driven solutions. This is not a traditional data engineering role; the client is looking for a candidate capable of working across data, AI, and automation in a highly experimental, fast-evolving environment. The role involves working on greenfield AI initiatives, including call analytics and enterprise-wide automation. A key differentiator of this team is the focus on leveraging modern tools and AI-assisted development (such as Copilot and VIBE) rather than manual hand-coding.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer interaction audio files from call centers to evaluate agent performance using AI-driven scoring models.
• Build and enhance AI-driven automation frameworks, contributing to the transition from supervised to unsupervised automation.
• Develop reusable, scalable data and AI components for enterprise-wide use.
• Design and implement end-to-end technical solutions primarily within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Operate independently in ambiguous environments to build prototypes, POCs, and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams, including data platform, AI/LLM governance, and business stakeholders.
• Act in a lead role for new projects as they arise, coordinating with team members across various locations.

Experience

• Minimum of 10+ years of overall professional experience.
• 10+ years of back-end development experience specifically within a data workspace.
• 10+ years of banking or financial services experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with strict data security and regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to work in end-to-end solution design and development rather than just executing isolated tasks.

Skillsets

• Strong expertise in Python and PySpark for development.
• Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including tools like Databricks and Synapse.
• Experience with LLMs and Generative AI tools (usage and integration).
• Proficiency with data orchestration tools and large-scale data pipelines.
• Exposure to legacy technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Mainframe.
• Familiarity with modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding tools like Copilot.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to visualize a clear end-state for technical architectures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Education

• Minimum of a Graduate degree is required.

Additional Qualifications

• Certifications: AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science certifications are considered a "nice-to-have".
