Eduvos is looking to employ the services of a General Ledger Controller, to be based at any of our National campuses, on a permanent basis.

The Position

To provide general accounting services to the Finance function of Eduvos and related group companies.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum qualification:

  • Undergraduate qualification – BCom in Accounting or relevant Accounting Diploma

Experience:

  • At least two to three years’ experience in a similar role

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

As the General Ledger Controller, you will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Capture financial transactions, specifically journal entries up to trial balance
  • Provide information regarding entries that has been posted to management accountants – data interrogation / explanations
  • External audit assistance
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Complete the schedules for preparation of annual tax returns
  • Monthly preparations of VAT returns
  • Back-up for Treasury
  • General finance transactional accounting
