Generative AI / Agentic AI Engineer

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) a leading company in safety‑critical software for aerospace, defence and transport, is looking for Generative AI / Agentic AI Engineer to join our on‑site teams in Germany, supporting strategic projects with Airbus.

What You Will Do

• Design and development of scalable Generative AI solutions, including chatbots and autonomous (agentic) AI systems using modern frameworks.
• Deployment and operation of LLM infrastructures in a secure on‑premise environment using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Safety, security and compliance, ensuring all AI developments follow Airbus Defence and Space regulations and guidelines.
• RAG & MCP implementation, connecting AI models with internal knowledge bases through optimized RAG pipelines and secure standardized interfaces.
• Technical support and innovation, including user support, documentation, troubleshooting, and development of PoCs for new AI/KI use cases.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs and agentic AI architectures.
• Solid programming skills (e.g. Python)
• C1 English Level – mandatory.
• German C1 (will be a plus)
• Applicants must hold citizenship of a European country.
