The Schweizerische Akademie der Technischen Wissenschaften SATW (www.satw.ch) is the most important network of experts for technical sciences in Switzerland. On behalf of the federal government, we explain technological developments – comprehensibly, fact-based, and excitingly – for politics, business, and society. Our goal: to awaken enthusiasm for technology, share knowledge, and shape the future.

Our five-person, interdisciplinary "Tech Intelligence" team, which deals with various future-oriented technology topics, is to be strengthened. In our new program "Health and Medtech", we will in future illuminate the influence of technologies on 4P medicine (prediction, personalization, prevention, and participation). For this task, we are looking for a:

Program Manager Health and Medtech (70-80%)

limited to 2 years with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter

Your Mission:

You will build up the new "Health and Medtech" program at SATW, giving you the unique opportunity to significantly shape and advance this program. Together with our experts, you will align the program thematically, develop content, and set targeted impulses for politics, business, and society – for example, through publications or events.

Your Activities:

• Responsibility for the development of the new Health and Medtech program: You will align the program according to strategic goals and handle time and financial planning, project management, and content development.
• Close content-related collaboration with experts from research, industry, and administration, with partner institutions, and with colleagues from the Tech Intelligence team or our internal communications. The focus here is on making the knowledge of subject matter experts accessible, leveraging synergies with partners, and optimally preparing our own content for knowledge transfer.
• Research and data analysis as well as content development (e.g., text contributions or presentations) for our publications, events, and website, as well as for external media and politics
• Maintenance and expansion of a network in the Health and Medtech sector
• Participation in topic-specific committees and working groups, as well as representation of SATW at events
• Handling of Tech Intelligence topics beyond your own program

What you bring:

• Completed university/college degree in engineering, natural sciences, or health sciences
• Several years of experience in project-based work at the interface of science and practice; project management experience is an advantage
• Above-average ability to grasp things quickly and a sound understanding of technical-scientific topics
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly, precisely, and in a target-group-oriented manner
• Confident English skills in speaking and writing; French skills are an advantage
• Experience with data analysis and visualization
• Efficient coordination of tasks and proactive approach to complex challenges
• Positive energy and a motivating personality for collaboration in our collaboratively working team
